Kooky

So it's funny, right as I started to write this post, I got a little notification that my friend Sophia just posted her own little diddy about the Kooks Concert we attended together (along with a few other friends) at Terminal 5!

Great minds, same names, same blog posts.

It was our first time at Terminal 5 and my first real concert in the city. The show was packed, lively, bright, and full of British accents. No complaints.

Here's a little montage of the night.
I love montages.
And music of course.

Party at the Met

It's so easy to get caught up in all the raging frat parties, football games, and dancing on top of tables at NYU.

Oh wait.

I think I meant to say, it's so easy to get caught up in all the gallery openings, private parties, and dancing in the lobby of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. I guess that's sort of like a school dance?

Another little amateur video I made.

An Oasis at the Met celebrated the opening of the Arts of Arab Lands collection. Despite the fact I have already visited the gallery (twice) for class, the girls and I decided to put on our fanciest semi-formal attire and splurged for a cab to 5th and 82nd. Stay classy.
(Free) Events at such prestigious institutes are just one of the many perks of going to school on the island of Manhattan.

Plus, the DJs were pretty cute.

Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band

Popped balloons, dying roses, ripped cards. While the remnants from February 14th slowly fade away, I still look back on my first Valentine's experience in New York City fondly. A friend and I spent our night watching the Contemporary Rock Orchestra--a quirky, yet entertaining bunch--cover The Beatles Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band album. Quite fitting huh? Here is a little amateur vid I made of the show!

You may be single, but you are not alone. Just join the club.

Can't Stop, Won't Stop

Listening to the Black Keys.

Rain (more like snow these days), shine, fast, slow--walking to class everyday has become a lot more enjoyable since last syncing my iPod. Maybe I'm late on the bandwagon since their new album El Camino released last year, but better fashionably late than missing the trend all together. Then again, I did already see them live at Coachella 2011. Thats why I decided not to go to either of the TWO Coachella weekends this year, despite their headlining status. Yeah. Thats why...
